Geological Tour of Botswana

April 10th to 23rd 2026

Glossopteris and Agathoxylon fossils – Kgagodi Meteorite Crater – Rocks of the Kapvaal Craton – Old Tati and the 1869 goldrush – diamond mining and kimberlite pipes – prehistoric iron and copper smelting –  continental flood basalts – relict shorelines of palaeo-Lake Makgadikgadi and much more besides.  Including a good chance to see some of the iconic wildlife of Botswana.

 Tour leader is Graeme Bremner, a retired professor from the Botswana University of Science & Technology.
